QR CODES: How To Create and Use Them To Build Your Real Estate Business WEBINAR

I am so excited to be a co-panelist at Morris Williams Realty Webinar this Wednesday! I wanted to share with you some information about what the webinar will cover. This article is from the Realty Tech Tips Newsletter provided by Morris Williams Realty

Androids, iPhones and the Blackberry have become affordable and widely used by real estate practitioners in the last few years. Even as little as 5 years ago an iPhone could cost upward of $500. But today you can even upgrade to a smart phone for free with some cell providers. Along with this mobile technology and its operating systems came apps.

One of the most useful apps in marketing real estate has become the barcode readers and the 2D QR codes. All a consumer needs to do is click on your QR code with their phone camera and they will be given what ever information you want them to have. Your website, listing info, your contact info, etc.

If you aren’t using this technology because you don’t know how, we want to offer you an invitation to a webinar that will explain all of the basic information you need to get started using this terrific technology to promote yourself, your listings and get new real estate business. Paperlinks: Interactive Invitations

"Paperlink is a barcode that can be scanned by a mobile phone. The barcode standard we use is commonly known as a QR (Quick Response) code. This code can be quickly and easily scanned by modern smartphones." The company just exited their private beta on March 1, 2011.

What I found very unique about this company is that they had examples of invitations with QR Codes. I couldn't find out much information about the cost or process of producing an invite, but the idea is great!

Imagine having a wedding invitation with a QR Code that directed guests to the RSVP page where they could indicate number of guests and whether they would like Chicken or Fish! LOL

New Technology To Make Your Kitchen Smarter!

Technology is great! Especially when it makes my day to day life easier. I get so excited when I find an app that actually makes my life easier when used. I have compiled a few of my favorite technology suggestions that have made life in my kitchen a little more enjoyable!

Apple iPad

Without a doubt, the Apple iPad has been one of the most exciting devices to hit the technology market, not to mention my kitchen. Not only can I browse the web, look at photos, play games, and use my apps, now I can use it in my kitchen!

Think about it, an Ipad can be mounted flush with any wall like a flat screen television. Hanging this in my kitchen allows me to access thousands of recipes, watch tv, be alerted when the oven is preheated and much, much more. All of this can be made possible very easily via an iPad with companies such asCrestron, Control 4, and Savant.

Trufig

I hate sockets and cords with a passion! I have seen many gorgeous kitchens shadowed by ugly power outlets and light switches. So when I found this product, I just knew I had to share it!

Trufig offers flush-mount solutions for stone, wood, and drywall applications to provide virtually invisible outlets, keypads, switches, and more for almost any application.

You can barely see it right, come on... you know you had to look twice! Neat!

Lighting control

Along with being one of the easiest ways to save energy and having a "green" home, lighting control can transform a room. I once again go to my trusty ipad and some apps to control my lighting.

Do you have an app suggestion? What apps do you use around your house? Leave a comment and I will pick a few to review in upcoming blogs!

Apple Inc. has started manufacturing a new version of its iPad tablet computer with a built-in camera and faster processor, said people familiar with the matter.

The new iPad will be thinner and lighter than the first model, these people said. It will have at least one camera on the front of the device for features like video-conferencing, but the resolution of the display will be similar to the first iPad, these people said. It will also have more memory and a more powerful graphics processor, they said.

The production of the new iPad shows how Apple is moving forward in the wake of Chief Executive Steve Jobs's disclosure last month that he was taking...
